This is when I wish I had multiple selves. I was so busy presenting, I didn't get to any sessions. I did treat myself finally to some of my own learning vs. presenting all the time, by attending with others from my site at the Content Area Institute and met 2 of your TCs--Kim and Jason. Love them! And earlier this spring I got to work with two more of your folks at the web presence retreat. You have a great group of people. I keep sending people to your blog to listen in on your writing and thinking process.
Take care,
SusanSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09265177230427326853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35719085.post-83002479411679484062007-11-23T22:30:00.000-07:002007-11-23T22:30:00.000-07:00Great list of questions, topics, and issues. I really like the question "why don't teachers talk about 'real things' in school?" I've often wondered that myself; all through school I found that the only place I could really talk was in argument and debate class--that's one of the main reasons I liked it so much, definitely.

A lot of times kids are surprised by how I let controversial discussions happen in my classroom, but really those are the issues that kids need to talk about and can actually learn something from discussing.

Thanks for the material, and for training me early on to be a professional thief!Jason Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01083404173442906088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35719085.post-74841233299146874832007-11-20T18:58:00.000-07:002007-11-20T18:58:00.000-07:00Okay, there you go. NYC is a great and awful place for a conference - great because it's NYC and has so much to offer - awful, for the same reason! Hopefully you were able to enjoy the city at least a bit.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
